FEBRUARY 4— GOD TRUSTS YOU

“The Lord said, ‘They are My people; they will not deceive me’. And so He saved them.” — Is 63:8

It is humanly unthinkable to say that God trusts man, yet, it is very glaring in all His dealings with man. People affirm that God cannot trust man, yet, all over the scripture, it is testified that God places much trust in men. This tells us why he won’t give up on us.

The scripture showcases the confidence God has in man from creation up till now. The fact that God gets disappointed when man fails is an indication that He trusted that man would do the right thing.

In the first chapter of Job, we saw God boasting of Job: how Job is faithful to Him. God showed so much confidence in Job.

The reality is, God, invested so much in us and he so perfectly made us that He trusts that we would not fail in achieving His purpose as long as we follow Him.

We see God saying, “They are My people, they will not deceive me.” That is trust.

God trusted that you will serve His purpose with all that He has given to you. Every one of us has the ability to be faithful to God. God has made His grace available. It is now up to us to make God proud like Job or to betray His trust. He has given us all things we need to live a fulfilled life (2 Pet 1:3).

God trusts you. He trusts that you will seek His will for you. He also trusts that you will follow His plan for you in Christ.

Even after we have failed many times, He still trusts us.

Prayer Charge

Ever-faithful Father, You know me more than I know myself. You know the potential in me. You have given me the ability to faithfully do Your will in this life. Grant that, by Your grace, I may faithfully fulfil your purpose. Thank You for the answer. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
