AN IDLE MAN IS A DESTROYER
It was Charles Finney that said, “It is not necessary for a person to rail out against a work, if he will only keep still, and take a neutral ground, the enemies of revival will consider him on their side.”
When you have work to do for God, and you do nothing about it, or you become slothful about it, then, you are actually working against God.
“He who is slothful in his work is a brother to him who is a great destroyer.” — Prov 18:9
“He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters.” — Luke 11:23
In God’s sight, being idle is considered working against Him. And there is no neutral ground in the presence of God. It is either you are for Him or against Him.
We must do away with the idea of neutrality. We must also overcome idleness in our walk with God. When God presents you with anything to do, ensure you are not working against Him by doing nothing.

The enemy does not rest. He works day and night to destroy goodness. Only when you work will you be able to stop Him and promote the work of God. When you are idle, you allow the enemy to perpetuate the destructive work.
When we are idle, we tie the hands of God so to say, because, He works through us. Idleness is a big help given to the enemy to bring destruction.
Reflection
1. Have I been a destroyer all the while?
2. Reflect on the dangers of being idle or slothful.
